Works is needed for salvation as Salvation is of faith and works

I have talked to many Christians and many feel that works is not needed for salvation as if works is something to be rejected.  Works is indeed important and I will back up what I say here by what is shown in the bible.

Lord Jesus Christ said that if you love him you will keep his commandments.

John 14:15King James Version (KJV)
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

So is keeping his commandments works? To me there is a possibility it could be works, I am not 100% sure if it could be works, but in my honest opinion, it could be works.

Also I am going to show you in the bible what it means by the separation of the sheep and goats means.

 Matthew 25:31-46King James Version (KJV)
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

So based on the above that I posted to you, it is clearly works is needed for salvation, those that did not help their Christian brothers or sisters in need when they have the resources to do it, there is a high chance they could be condemned to hell. This teaches us that we have to be kind to our brothers and sisters who believe in Lord Jesus Christ and that we should help them out if we have the resources. Now if you are poor, should you help them out, it is your call and I am not here to tell you what to do.  But if you are poor and want to help and sacrifice, by all means help out. If you are poor and unable to help that is also up to you because by the end of the day it is God who judges man for his works and not me.What I posted from the bible is clear enough and no explanation is needed on the meaning of the bible phrase that I posted here.

Another bible verse that show you works is needed.

James 2:14-26King James Version (KJV)
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

As I think what I posted here explains it quite well, I think I don't need to explain it further. But I would like to explain how faith and works go hand in hand. For example a good man who helps the poor, helps the oppressed, help to give justice to those who needs it, kind to others, but if the person does not accept Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, despite all his kind deeds, when he dies he will go to hell because every man that has live on this earth have sinned before except Lord Jesus Christ. On the other hand, if a person who is a Christian who accepts Lord Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour and he is married and he always go to prostitute even if he is married and he also has sex with many women who may not be prostitutes despite he is married and he is unrepentant, he always like to make trouble for the sake of making trouble, he loves to use vulgar words, he always indulge in drunkendness and he does not repent of these sins, I can assure you that if he doesn't repent before he dies and despite he believing in Lord Jesus Christ, he will surely end up in hell. Now if a Christian that believes in Lord Jesus Christ, try to live as righteous as possible, try not to sin at all, obey God's commandments and despite being persecuted, he is firm on doing what is commanded by Lord Jesus Christ, he will have a much higher chance of making it to heaven.

Another phrase I will post from the bible

Matthew 7:21-23King James Version (KJV)
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:21-23New King James Version (NKJV)

I Never Knew You

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

If you look carefully, those people really do confess Jesus Christ as Lord but yet he will say I never knew you. Many people think that won't happen to them, if you think about it, many times when people get involved in car accidents and tragedies, they too think that it would never happen to them. This also could happen to me and Lord Jesus Christ could also tell me he never knew me. NKJV bible substitute the word work with lawlessness. This is just a guess, lawlessness according to some people means those who does not do the work of torah example not obeying Sabbath, not obeying ten commandments and other things in the bible and some if not all of them are works. So this proof works are actually needed. By the way Sabbath is on Saturday and not Sunday. Do not for one moment think we are not under the law. Proof is at what I posted below.

Matthew 5:18-20King James Version (KJV)
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

I want to quote something from revelation although I really don't feel like quoting revelation if I make a mistake as in the end of revelation, there is a warning at the end of revelation that warns about adding or minusing from the book of revelation. So I will try to be careful when I talk about this matter in revelation.

Revelation 21:1King James Version (KJV)

21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

In my opinion the first heaven and the first earth has not pass away yet. Jesus said and I put in quotes

"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

Not sure the law will pass away when there is a new heaven and a new earth or maybe the law is only for the time of the first heaven and the first earth. Maybe the law will still apply for the new heaven and the new earth or maybe not. I am not sure, but in my opinion, the first heaven and the first earth has not passed away. So since I am sure the first earth has not pass away yet, then I can be sure that the law is still binding.  I am not sure if revelation 21:1 has any connection to Matthew 5:18 since Jesus said till heaven and earth pass and revelation 21:1 talks about a new heaven and a new earth and the first heaven and the first earth which will pass away and In my opinion the first heaven and the first earth haven't pass away yet.

Matthew 5:16King James Version (KJV)16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

It is important to have good works to show your faith. and if you read revelation, the message from Lord Jesus Christ to the seven churches, Lord Jesus Christ did talk about works.

The below verse is part of the message from Lord Jesus Christ to the church in Thayatira. If you want to read the entire message of Lord Jesus Christ to the church in Thayatira here it is Revelation 2:18-29

Revelation 2:23King James Version (KJV)
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

I choose only this specific part of the message from Lord Jesus Christ to the Church in Thayatira to prove my point that works is important as a Christian and Lord Jesus Christ said and I put in quotes   " I will give unto every one of you according to your works"

So to think that you can have salvation without works is simply not the truth.
